Future awaits

Filed Under: And Think @ December 25, 2011 | Comments Off

I truly intend to buy gold online for a very special love one. I want to prepare his future for him. I want to make sure that should I pass on ahead of him, he can spend the rest of his life relaxing and not worrying where to find money. I don’t want him to end up in a home where old people like him will spend their dying days pining for their very own home.

I am talking about my dad.

I will make sure to prepare his future for him. I want to save up, invest, and really multiply the money I am allotting for him. I want an amount where he would still have enough even when he spends a lot of it.

Summer is near…

Filed Under: And Think @ December 25, 2011 | Comments Off

This side of the planet, summer will come in three months time! So it is best to have water pumps at home! The residential kind will come in pretty useful when there is shortage of water in the city due to drought. I know because I’ve been experiencing this since I was a little kid. Almost always there is shortage of water supply during the summer months.

And you know how difficult it is to be without water. You can’t function properly without it. You can’t cook, wash clothes, take a bath. You get dehydrated. So it is best to buy a water pump and pray that the summer months won’t be as harsh as the past ones.

A good citizen

Filed Under: And Think @ December 25, 2011 | Comments Off

I am proud to say that I know at least one really good citizen of our country, aside from myself, that is :P This man from our neighborhood donated lab ovens to a government hospital a couple of blocks away. He is donating a lot for the poor in our area. And you know what? He doesn’t want people to know it’s him! He donates anonymously. I just found out because his grandson told a friend about it and that friend told his parents who in turn told my dad about it.

I am proud to be living next door to a generous individual! I hope his tribe increases and he be given more blessings that he can share with others.

Hanging out at a cafe

cafe

If there is one thing that I want to do on a regular basis in the coming year that would be hanging out at a cafe nearby. I do believe that by doing so I will be able to do more. I have this quirk wherein I can work better when I am in a crowd or when I know that I am about to go somewhere and time is limited. In a cafe, the two aspects will be meshed together thereby making my creative(?) juices flow even more (hopefully!).

Happy boss

Filed Under: And Think @ December 25, 2011 | Comments Off

I saw my former boss two weeks ago and we got to talk about the company I was once employed in. He told me that he now has truck fleet tracking. I remember he used to pound his head over the problems with logistics. These days, according to him, it has become easier to track where each truck is. And because delivery has become so effective, he already branched out into other products.

I am so happy for him!

He used to frown and raise his voice a lot. But nowadays he smiles and is a bit calmer when faced with problems. I told him that how I wish he was like that when I was still working for him. We would have had a less shaky boss-staff relationship. He just laughed at me!

Capture the holiday moments

Filed Under: And Think @ December 25, 2011 | Comments Off

I was thinking of the best gift to give my sister Kat and I thought why not a Casio EX-H20G GPS digital camera? She just loves taking photos of herself and the people around her! And these holiday season, I am sure she will be able to capture a lot of holiday moments with it.

We had our traditional Christmas Day lunch at my maternal grand-aunts’ place. This coming week, we will have our reunion at the paternal side of the family’s ancestral place. I am sure it will be a lot of fun!

Seeking attention

Filed Under: And Think @ December 25, 2011 | Comments Off

I was asked to buy corrugated hose for a relative of mine. To be honest about it, I was annoyed at first because I know that that particular relative of ours has people around him he can ask to buy for him. But when I was told the reason why I was the one he asked to buy, my heart thawed and I was touched…

You see, the reason why he asked was that he was just trying to get my attention! He wanted me to find time to talk to him about stuff that’s happening in and around the country like we used to do when I wasn’t this busy with work and personal life. I used to go over their place and I would seek out that particular relative of mine so we could talk about news and all that.

So I bought the hose and went over to spend some time at their place.

My newest addiction: Iced Caramel Macchiato

iced-caramel-macchiato

I don’t know why all of a sudden I’ve been craving for Starbucks’ grande Iced Caramel Macchiato every single day! I swear I can actually taste it now that I am thinking of it.

I used to order Latte a lot. Plain hot latte. But I’ve been craving for something more bitter the past few weeks. I ordered Caramel Macchiato and it was the perfect level of bitterness that I was craving that day I first ordered it. Now, it’s my addiction! Hahaha!

Can I have one please?

Chocolates and more

Chocolates

This guy I know is so damn lovable when you see him and talk to him you feel like giving him everything he wants. I feel like giving him chocolates and cufflinks (because he lost one) and cute boxer shorts and tight hugs and kisses and more!

He is that lovable!

I just wish the guy is mine to smother with hugs and kisses and to give so much more to. But he isn’t so I might stick to the chocolates and cufflinks for now. The more will come later?

Hahaha!

Almost the end of the year

Filed Under: And Think @ December 18, 2011 | Comments Off

Time flies so fast! The end of 2011 is upon us already. Can you imagine that? Have you gotten your term life insurance quotes yet? Are you done with your general cleaning? We do this during last week of the year. I make sure some old stuff I am no longer using will go to the “for donation” box and a clean corner will welcome the new year.

I am already enveloped in the holiday spirit. My body is going into a Christmas break mode. But I still have tons of stuff to do. And a lot of cleaning is included in that!

What about you?

Quote for today…

Web of Life

Man does not weave this web of life. He is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

- Chief Seattle

How is everyone today? I hope you are in a better state of mind and heart than I am.

Happy Tuesday to all of you!

Girls in the family

Filed Under: And Think @ December 5, 2011 | Comments Off

So here’s the thing… I have three sisters, one little girl, three aunts and several female cousins. I also have two grand-aunts and a paternal grandmother. There are so many girls in the family I lost count already. Whenever the holiday season rolls in, I find myself grabbing all the ideas for gifts for girls. Trust me, it helps me a lot!

Anyway, I already have my list with me. I make it a point to put two choices beside the name of each love one. That way, if and when my primary choice for gift has run out of stock, I still have something to choose for the person. It’s better to choose while you are not rushing yourself because you will end up choosing the wrong gift if you find yourself buying something at the last minute.

Trust me. I’ve been there.
