Being prepared

The winds the night the typhoon hit the metro was truly scary. I don’t know if you heard it but in our house, the wind was howling a little and banging on our doors and windows. Without electricity, a situation like this was doubly scary because you couldn’t see clearly what’s happening around.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the next time around, PAGASA will be able to forecast the weather correctly. People need to be prepared for a Basyang or an Ondoy. No need to tell everyone that the typhoon won’t hit Metro Manila making city dwellers complacent and then seeing so much devastation in the very area they say won’t be hit.

Plus, being prepared is the only way to deal with something as devastating as a typhoon. I hope you were safe during the typhoon Basyang.
