Blessings poured the other day. I was already worrying because I found myself short again on my budget. But I believe He heard my prayers loud and clear and He sent an emissary to give me the blessings I need.
Two things I always worry about: health and finances. We are living very unhealthy lifestyles. I am taking the lead so we can finally, once and for all, turn our lives around. I completely cut my soda intake. Not even a drop since January 1st of this year. Lately, we’ve been consuming so much iced tea. I’ve decided to cut off my iced tea intake completely. My family has not been drinking sodas as of late. They followed suit. I would like for them to follow me in this no iced tea endeavor as well. This is just the beginning. I worry that someone would get diabetic or just keel over and die. Soon I will embark on a no-rice project, too.
Finances… well, who doesn’t worry about it? My brother’s still in college. I am trying to save up for my grandmother who’s already bedridden with diabetes. I also have two grand-aunts who are mostly relying on me for medication and such. I am also in-charge of my dad. I haven’t mentioned myself yet. So who does not worry about finances, right?
So there I was the other day, completely worried about the incoming monthly bills and the tuition fee payments when the blessings poured in. I almost jumped up and down from joy! I am thankful that I was given so many. I truly need it and it isn’t all for me, anyway. I know He knows it.
