Happy and content

Some people don’t believe you when you say that you are happy with your pets and would rather be without a man who will only cause you pain. I should know. I’ve been there so many times since I hit 25. In my case, I don’t have pets. I have my books and my online life.
As pathetic as it may sound to many people, let me just say this out loud… I am happy and content. You won’t be able to understand this unless you’ve been in this situation. I don’t discount the possibility that I could be happier and more content when I get to be with someone with whom I can share my life with. What I’m just saying is that I am fine with my current situation and that I won’t lose sleep over not finding that someone people want me to be with.
For now, right now, I am happy and content.
