First step: Admission

Passages Malibu is a center for rehabilitation offering holistic approach to treating drug and alcohol addiction. This is a different approach because with Passages, what’s being treated is the underlying cause of addiction. A wound can never fully heal if you just put a band-aid over it. You need to clean the wound first and put something on it to prevent infection, right? That’s what Passages does to those being treated in their center. Treat the cause.
A lot of Hollywood celebrities have been embroiled in controversies regarding drug and alcohol addiction. There’s Mel Gibson coming forward to admit about his alcohol problems. There’s Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler’s painkiller addiction. And many more known celebrities. Passages Malibu is a place where these celebrities flock to because of the privacy the center can provide for each and every individual who comes to them, celebrity or not.
I do believe that the first step a person takes to addiction recovery is admission. Admitting to oneself that he or she is addicted. It can be to prohibited drugs, painkillers, or alcohol. Admit that there’s a problem. And then take the necessary steps to recovering from it. Going to a rehab facility is the best way to recover from addiction. It would be best if you know you have a support system waiting to lend a hand to you after you have recovered.
