Old school grocery store

There’s an old school grocery store a few blocks away from where I live. I love shopping there because the place has this familiar feel to it. The same lanes and the same organization of items since I was a little girl. In fact, until last year, they used old types of cash registers. They just got barcode scanners a couple of months ago. But they still have one or two of that old type of cash register.

The grocery store also has their own pharmacy and a diner at the side of the place. The diner is more like a small canteen. We often buy our birthday noodles there because the cook is really good.

The city is being developed every minute of every day. Sooner or later, the grocery store might succumb to the modernization that most old establishments do. I do hope they will retain the familiar feel of the store.
