I saw a photo of a friend in a social networking site. She’s knee-deep in snow. It made me sad because it brought to mind my mom’s dreams of ski vacations. Unfortunately for my mom, she came from a middle-class family and vacations only included going to a cousin’s place for the summer. When she got married to dad, it became all about the kids. And there were six of us!
Looking at my friend’s photo, it just made me sad that now that I can take her on the vacation she wanted, she’s no longer here with us…
