Fear of boat rides

We went to a well-known tourist attraction in the country about two years ago. We rode the boat and we toured the waters surrounding the different islands. Since I am not crazy about boat rides the same way as my uncle is, we wore safety vests to be sure. My cousins and the aunts and other uncles were laughing at both of us and were teasing us about being cowards. Better be safe than sorry, right?
I would rather be laughed at than find myself realizing my fears.
