Newborn life

Someone I know is having some problems right now. The father of her child is demanding that the baby undergo DNA testing before he acknowledges him. I told her to just ignore the father and move on with her new life with her baby. But then she is madly in love with the father of her kid that she’s willing to jump whenever he says so just so they can have a life together.
I know it’s hard for me to say things like ignore the father or to hell with him! That’s because I am single and I don’t have the responsibility of a newborn life with me. But if and when this thing happens to me in the future, I am hoping that I can turn my back on the person who’s afraid to take on the role of my baby’s dad and just move on with our lives.
