Decade after…

I had lunch with my friend. She’s working abroad and is just here for a brief visit. We haven’t seen each other in a decade! We were best friends back in high school along with another girl. It was so good to be able to catch up with what’s happening in her life. I’ve missed her! I never knew how much I missed my friend until we started reminiscing about the past. The last time I saw her, it was her wedding day. I attended it with our other friend. But I had to go after getting to the reception venue. I was pretty annoyed with our other friend already and I didn’t think I’d enjoy the occasion so I bailed out when I saw the chance…
A decade after, she already has 4 kids and I’m still single. We had so much to talk about and the 4 hours of lunch was not enough. She promised that on her next vacation, she’ll make sure to allot a day for our chikahan. I would have wanted to ask her for a cup of coffee but she was rushing because it’s her flight yesterday morning. She still had to meet her aunt somewhere.
I am happy with the time I had with her. Next time, I am hoping to share more of what’s happening with my life, possibly share that I am not single anymore. Haha! I am hoping a day is enough for that
