Slipping by your fingers

Don’t you just feel like your money’s just slipping by your fingers even before you can even touch it? A lot of people I know live from paycheck to paycheck. I once was someone like this. When the paycheck arrives, I budget it up to the last centavo. If I spend on something not on the budget, then I find myself worrying about where to get the unnecessary expense.
These days, I try to have even a small amount left for emergency spending. It’s hard, especially now that my income decreased. But I still try. I hate being in a situation wherein I no longer know where to get the money I need. I’ve been there before. I want to appear like I learned something from my past mistakes.
I still have no savings to speak of. I am targeting next year as the year for me to save and me more frugal when necessary, generous on myself from time to time.
