Kindred spirit

My good friend, Wella, recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy! Time flies so fast! Back in 2007, before I quit the corporate world, we met for lunch and we were talking about her desire to have a baby. And now, she already has her bundle of joy.
Wella is a former co-worker. We started almost the same time in this investments company. She as a budget manager while I was an accounting manager. He hit it off right away, being kindred spirits. We felt the same way about the company and break times were our time for ranting against our employer and other co-workers. We also have the same interests and would often talk about so many things in our lives… our plans for the future, our respective families…
We keep in touch via text messages, phone calls, ym chat and Friendster. I miss her and our girl talks! I miss having coffee with her at Dunkin’ Donuts. I miss those days we would sneak out of the office to take an early coffee break.
