Rob is a friend of mine who is into poker. Actually, all the men in their family are into it. His father and older and younger brothers. When you go to their house, you will find two poker tables that dabble as side tables. On it are ordinary things like books, an ash tray, his mom’s knitting yarns and a laptop. I find it really amusing to see all these when I go and visit him from time to time.
There are poker chips embedded on a part of their wall. His dad did that himself, I was told. According to Rob, his dad won three consecutive poker games when his mom was pregnant with him. As a remembrance of that windfall, he bought the house they are currently living in from his winnings. That time, a house and lot costs a lot less than the amount it is now.
