A suprise message

I am not much into social networking sites. But I have a Friendster account that I open every other day just to check if a friend left me a message or if there are updates with my close friends. I love looking at their photos and knowing how they are.
Just the other day, I opened my Friendster account and was surprised to find a nice, long message from a friend I haven’t talked to for some time now. She’s in California already, working there, has a boyfriend she lives in with, and has a kid. She told me that she and her boyfriend will be getting married pretty soon. She gave me a link to the banquet facilities in La Jolla California where they are thinking of having their nuptial dinner. It was so lovely!
The message made me weepy. I remember the good times we shared in high school with our other friends. Distance cannot really shatter a friendship based on a strong foundation. And I am glad ours is like that.
